Summary of the Guidelines updates
Highlights of major changes in the 2006 version of the Ovarian Cancer guidelines from the 2005 version include:
GI evaluation replaced barium enema/colonoscopy .
Under primary treatment, biopsy was added as an option for some patients .
Debulking was added as a consideration for Stage II, III, IV with no suspicion of residual disease .
Stage II was included with Stage III and IV and primary treatment for this group was clarified .
Footnote ‘f’ alternative regimens were updated .....
